Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced that the first offshore wind manufacturing facility in the state will be built in Somerset at the Brayton Point facility. The Prysmian Group has finalized an agreement to acquire a 47 acre parcel of land at the facility and will manufacture the subsea cables for Avangrid Renewables’ Commonwealth Wind project.
