BOEM announces provisional winners of the New York Bight lease sale finalized on February 25th 2022. This is the largest single-event auction held thus far, and is the first auction under the Biden-Harris administration and collectively New York and New Jersey setting offshore energy records with $4.37 billion in winning bids. More than 480,000 acres over six lease areas, this is the nation’s largest regional offshore wind target, installing over 16 GW of offshore wind by 2035.
