The State of Rhode Island announced a new competitive solicitation to procure up to 600 MW of offshore wind energy. This solicitation moves the state closer to its goal of 100% renewables by 2030. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be developed by National Grid with oversight from the state Office of Energy Resources.
